When you are bringing up children it is important to make sure that all of the care givers are treating them in a similar fashion. There will be slightly different rules in different environments – for example they may be allowed to use felt pens on the table at home but not in Granny’s house and they will understand these changes in rules. They will also know that they might be allowed to shout at home but not in the classroom at school. However, when they are in the home it is important to keep the rules consistent and make sure that anyone who disciplines them in the house will follow the same rules. If Mummy lets them bounce on the bed but Daddy does not then they will be confused and not sure when they can bounce on the bed and when they cannot. Also if you tell them off for shouting one day but not on another day then they will not know whether it is allowed or not. By not being consistent and causing them confusion, they are more likely to misbehave because they do not know what the rules are and why they keep changing. Maybe having a list of rules written down may help everyone understand what is allowed and what is not allowed.

Taking care of your child is very necessary as its your care and attitude towards the child that will help him/her build her future ahead. The kind of environment you will give to your child and the kind of moral values you will put in their growth and bringing up.
